1. The service
PriceKini is a grocery price comparison service for Malaysia. It presents publicly available price data from the KPDN PriceCatcher programme, published on data.gov.my, alongside our own search, translation, aggregation, and presentation features.
2. Price accuracy
Prices are reported by KPDN inspectors on their visit dates. They may lag behind current shelf prices, vary by the day, or differ from what you find in-store. Each result shows when its price was last reported — always verify the price at the point of purchase. PriceKini is not liable for purchase decisions made based on the data shown, including any difference between a displayed price and the price charged in-store.
3. Data licensing
The underlying price data is published by the Government of Malaysia on data.gov.my under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence. Our translations (English and 中文 item names), category mappings, aggregations, rankings, and the design and presentation of this website are our own work and remain the property of PriceKini.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape the website or query our database in an automated, bulk fashion;
- circumvent rate limits or access controls;
- resell, redistribute, or republish our processed data (translations, aggregations, rankings) as your own.
If you need the raw price data, it is freely available at data.gov.my under CC BY 4.0. If you would like to work with our processed data, write to us first.
5. Free service, no warranty
PriceKini's current features are provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
6. Future paid tiers
Paid subscription tiers are planned. When they launch, supplementary subscription terms (billing, renewals, cancellation, refunds) will apply to paying subscribers and will be presented before you subscribe. These general terms continue to apply to everything else.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
